A heart attack is caused by a blockage in one of the coronary arteries on the surface of the heart. For Dr. Daniel Klee, there is nothing more rewarding than taking a patient who is on death’s doorstep due to a heart attack and saving their life in the cardiac cath lab by emergent angioplasty/stent implantation. In the office, he enjoys working on preventative cardiology. Dr. Klee finds it incredibly rewarding to identify and decrease patients’ risk factors for coronary artery disease, peripheral vascular disease, and cerebrovascular disease.

Dr. Klee has been in private practice in the Phoenix east valley since 1996. He has served as the Cath Lab Director for Banner Desert Medical Center, the Cath Lab Director at Chandler Regional Medical Center, and as an executive board member for the Heart Health Organization. He has also been a counselor for the American College of Cardiology. Dr. Klee was named one of Phoenix Magazine’s Top Docs for 2013 and has earned the “Top Doctor” award repeatedly throughout the years. He has also received the Patient’s Choice Award, Compassionate Doctor Recognition, and On-Time Doctor Awards through www.vitals.com.

On the personal side, Dr. Klee has lived in Ahwatukee since 1993. He is married and has three children. His two sons are baseball fanatics who currently attend and play ball at Seton Catholic Prep in Chandler, Arizona. His daughter attends St. John Bosco in Ahwatukee and plays club soccer with Ahwatukee Foothills Soccer Club. In their free time, the Klee family enjoys mountain biking, water-skiing, and snow-skiing.
