Dr. Shakoor earned his medical degree at Rawalpindi Medical College, University of Health Sciences Lahore, in Rawalpindi, Pakistan. After completing his residency and fellowship training at the University of South Alabama Medical Center in Mobile, he served as Assistant Professor at the University of South Alabama Medical Center in the division of cardiology. From there, he moved to the Arizona Heart Institute in Phoenix.
Currently, Dr. Shakoor is Chairman of the Cardiovascular Department and Director of the Chest Pain Center at Dignity Health’s Chandler Regional and Mercy Gilbert Medical Centers. Additionally, he is a member of several hospital committees. Dr. Shakoor established Chandler Cardiology Associates, which offers complete diagnostic cardiovascular services.
He resides in Chandler with his wife and three children.
